(My comment)
Restoring communication is the most difficult matter. First of all we (ego, separate self) need to restore communication with our wounded inner child. For that, we need to revive awareness (true self, non-separate self) through mindfulness. Once awareness listens deeply to our wounded inner child, looks deeply into the suffering and understands the root cause, we will be able to generate compassion and accept ourselves unconditionally. Unconditional self-acceptance will be the foundation of restoring communication with others. Without unconditional self-acceptance, it's impossible for us to restore communication with others and accept others unconditionally. Once communication is restored, all problems will be solved quite easily through mutual understanding and compassion.
